What will the change in CDC guidelines mean for Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton?
Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski has announced, in keeping with CDC guidelines issued May 13th, that mask mandates in all parishes will now only apply to the faithful who have not received vaccination against the COVID19 virus.
He has also delegated to pastors the regulation of capacity restrictions and social distancing in their individual parish churches in keeping with what they may deem to be needed to provide the safest possible environment at this time.
For St. Elizabeth, our pastor, Fr. Bob Burkemper has decided to will limit our attendance to 300 persons or 50% of total capacity, with a 3 foot social distancing limit effective immediately.
The Archbishop has also continued the general dispensation from the obligation to attend Holy Mass on Sunday for the foreseeable future to any of the faithful who feel they cannot safely participate in person, while St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish continues to serve parishioners by offering the live stream of our Sunday Mass at www.setonscene.org, our parish website.
