I want to remind everyone to send in their forms and fees by the end of this week.
We have not worked out the details of day and time for the meetings but I am looking at once a month.  I have taken a part-time job that requires me to be there til 3pm so I do not think after school can work unless I have a couple volunteers to hang out with the girls until I get there at 3:30.
 
I would like to get you input on a few things. Please list your top 3 choices of days and times so that I can try to accommodate every ones needs. Here is the time frames I can get together.  I feel we will need 1 hour and 30 min. so please base your start time off of that
   
Last year was very stressful for most of the girls because we asked them to handle one activity every month.  It's a lot for one girl to remember especially since Girl Scouts is suppose to be fun not institutional.
 
This year I would like to do this a little different but would require you as a parent to help your daughter with the activities but only one time the entire year. 
 
Here is the idea:  Each girl will choose a badge they really want to earn and take charge of one meeting.  We will then figure out what month is best to do that badge. Your job would be to help your daughter plan and implement the activities that go along with that badge.  The activities would then be presented and performed during that months meeting.  So this means that the girls only have one meeting through out the entire year that they are responsible for.  It also means that they will still take on a leadership role with out stressing about it every month.  The troop will reimburse any cost that occurs. 
 
It may also work best if each month the girl in charge hosts the meeting at their home or a different location. I know this sounds confusing so, please let me know if you have any questions.
